The health of our marine ecosystem and its resilience to climate change – the state of the Baltic Sea through the eyes of a marine biologist. The workshop will be conducted by Professor Georg Martin, Head of the Department of Marine Biology, Estonian Marine Institute, University of Tartu.
Professor Georg Martin introduces the biota of the Baltic Sea, especially algae as an indicator of the health status of the aquatic environment. The seminar provides a general overview of the Baltic Sea ecosystem and its resilience to climate change in a simple but still professional approach.
